HelpMy Abiword copy runs on windows98 Italian version.
My aim is to use this word processor mainly in the french language and
therefore use the following vocals: â, ê, î, ô and û.
I own a qwerty italian keyboard and I can print such letters combining
ALT key with a four cypher code (ASCII code i presume).
Above combination doesn't work when I use Abiword.
I currently overcome this problem as follows:
The word processor has a french dictionary and a built-in proof reader,
which underlines the mistakes( e.g. the missing ^) and shows a list of words
I can choose from. In most of the cases I can find the word correctly spelled.
But sometimes the meaning of a word may change by changing its accent...

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Nick
