dear mark,
i had this question about a year ago too. at that time the main-developers of
abiword told me that this is a feature wich should be implemented in version
1.0.0
so you'll have to do it till that time on the way paul cubbadge told;-)
it works fine this way too (specially if you are used to the unix-way of
copyandpaste already)
