Is this a general problem or is there a specific application window
that you can't copy and paste from? Copy and paste works differently
for different programs e.g. Netscape uses Alt-C and Alt-V for copy &
paste and most other apps use Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V. There is also a standard
method for X applications that works in general.
I have Red Hat 6.1, KDE and Abi 0.7.7. I copied your email from
Netscape by highlighting the text, copying with Alt-C, and pasting with
a Ctrl-V in Abi.
I also used the X method for copy/paste: highlight what you want to copy
and leave it highlighted. Go to the window you want to paste into and
place the cursor. Press the middle mouse button on a 3 button mouse. If
you have a 2 button mouse, hold down the left button and click the right
and it will paste. Hint: clumsy mousing can remove the highlight before
you paste.
I hope this helped. If neither works, then your problem is elsewhere
and I don't know what it is.
