Windows users: Please test the installer

I'm looking for help from Windows users on the list in testing
our new installer. You can obtain it at the following URL:

http://www.abisource.com/downloads/win32_setup_test.exe

The intent here is to get some preliminary feedback on how
well the installer works, before we unleash it on a larger
audience.

Note that the focus of this request is testing of the installer
itself. In particular, note the following:

1. Currently, spell check does not work on Windows. We're not
sure why or when it broke, but we'll get it straightened out.

2. Ignore the artwork, including the icon. they're just
placeholders for the real stuff, which we'll be integrating
soon.

The only known problem with the installer right now is that
it doesn't look right on Jeff's system, which is running
at 1280x1024 using Large Fonts.

The installer should function like the setup programs that
most Windows users are accustomed to seeing, even though it
was not created using InstallShield. The easy way to get
through it is to simply press Enter on every screen until
it's done. :-)

Once installed, you should get a shortcut on your desktop,
as well as entries in the Start menu. If you accept the
default location, you'll find AbiWord rooted at
c:\program files\abisuite.

After you're all done with it, Uninstall should work too.
Go to the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows control
panel and remove AbiWord. The removal should work without
any problems.

This installer has been tested on several systems here at
AbiSource, so we believe it's safe to use. It should not
foul anything up on your system. In particular, it will
not force a reboot of your system, nor will it muck
with your system DLLs in any way.

If you are willing to test this thing out, please send email
back here to the list with your feedback. (Be sure to let us
know what kind of system you're running on.)

Thanks in advance for your help!
