One less for Bonita (patch)

I've just submitted a patch for #0628, which was driving me nuts. Would
someone mind taking a look:

Also, a while ago I submitted a patch for bug #8514. This followed on from
suggestions that the RTF exporter should produce UTF8 files in order to
avoid corruption problems with multi-lingual files. I'm not sure if this
patch is the right way to proceed, but I was wondering what people
thought.
