Bad regression in CVS HEAD - Linux build different font size on the same line

Hi Guys,
Some how we've picked upa bad regression in CVS HEAD for Linux.

Do this:
Type a line with font size 12.
Select a region of the line.
Change it font size 10
Now the two runs have different baselines.

I first noticed this 3 days ago but it but have been present for a while
before that.
