If you happen to compile on Solaris and discover that no matter what you attempt to type in AbiWord nothing appears, try compiling and installing GNU libiconv-1.8 (or later). If you happen to compile on Solaris and discover that no matter what you attempt to type in AbiWord nothing appears, try compiling and installing GNU libiconv-1.8 (or later). The Solaris-supplied iconv routines appear not to work with AbiWord.
