Users Mail List and Archives
The users mail list: abiword-user@abisource.com -- subscribe by sending an email with only the word "subscribe" in the body to abiword-user-request@abisource.com

Adding to the AbiWord TWiki
You are encouraged to add new pages to this TWiki as you see the need for additional documentation. This includes FAQ and non-FAQ pages.
Bug vs. FAQ
However, there is / should be a distinction between bugs and FAQs. Bugs should be reported on the AbiWord Bugzilla (see #Bugzilla), and FAQs should be added to a new page on this TWiki with an appropriate prefix (see [[AbiWordFAQ#Creating_New_FAQ_Pages_or_Catego]]).

Heres some guidance from Dom Lachowicz (maintainer of AbiWord):

1 If you reasonably think more information might be needed in order to solve the problem, it goes in bugzilla. All crash bugs except for the infamous "unix font" crash bug belong in bugzilla and not a FAQ. 1 If a problem is already in bugzilla, a mention about it or a workaround *might* belong in a FAQ. If it is in a FAQ, the problem *should* already be in bugzilla. </quote>
Heres a first cut I made (this will probably be deleted in the near future -- maybe Im in a "thought collecting" mode at this point in time):
Sometimes it can be a fine line. A FAQ is:
- more general than a bug (??)
- more enduring than a bug -- _a bug might be a "mistake" in a current version of AbiWord that is (or becomes) known and is expected to be fixed in the near future -- a FAQ might deal with an ongoing problem (e.g., the fonts problem) for which there is no quick or easy solution and which may be expected to persist for some time_
