In addition to our discussion about fonts (TTF, font servers etc), I would
like to point out to the very interesting article in OSOpinion about X
(http://www.osopinion.com/Opinions/MarkStanford/MarkStanford1.html). Mr.
Standford has written very wise (IMHO) thoughts about programming under X.
Especially, he pointed out that "correct" X program should work on a local X
server as good as on a remote one. IMHO, this is extremely right.
BTW, AbiWord does not work on X terminals at all (naturally, if you do not
copy Abi fonts to the local computer).
Could anyone please inform us whether Abi team has no intention to support X
terminals at all. In this case, some users would have to find out some
alternatives (pity, because Abi is really good and promising...).
