Macros for AbiWord?

Hello,

I have developed a macro package in Microsoft Word (for Windows only), and
people in less developed countries who can't afford to buy Word keep asking
me if the macros can be ported to Open Office.

I have looked into the possibility, and faint at the thought -- the OO macro
scheme is so complex that I shudder to think of converting anything to it.

I have looked for a macro capability in AbiWord, but didn't find it.

So here's my question to the AbiWord developers:
    Do you have any plans to introduce a macro capability
    that would be powerful but simple to program?
