HI Edward,
One you set a section to have two columns all pages within that
section will have two columns. So after you finish the first page the
next page will take the text.
The text flows from the bottom of one column into the top of the next.
If instead want two independent threads of text so at the bottom on
the page it flows onto the next page in the same column I suggest you
create a two column table.
Turn off the borders of the table using the format table dialog after
you've finished creating your document. (Leaving the borders in place
makes it easy to jump between the two columns.
