Subject: Difficulties with dictionary.

Dear Alan,
Thanks for your suggestions regarding my difficulties installing the
UK English dictionary. As I said (I don't have our original
correspondence) I just clicked on "get dictionary" on the website and
downloaded the British version.
The reason for this message is this. On the disk from which I got
AbiWord - and indeed on the website when tried it that way - the
dictionary I wanted is listed as "English (UK)" or something like that (it
might be "GB"). And that's how it's referred to in those error messages
that pop up to tell you that AbiWord couldn't load the dictionary.
But on the list that appears when you click Get Dictionary I think
it's listed just as "British". Could the difficulty be connected to this
discrepancy in some way?
I know little about how these systems operate, and I won't be
surprised if this is completely irrelevant. But I just wanted to mention
it.

All the best
Drummond Blakely.
