> How do I tell which version I have? About Abiword just says "Abiword
> 2.2.3" I installed it from the debian package.
There are separate abiword and abiword-gnome packages in Debian.
If you have apt-show-versions installed you can do something like this
to see:
~$ apt-show-versions | grep abiword
abiword-doc/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
abiword-plugins-gnome/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
abiword-common/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
abiword-plugins/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
abiword-help/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
abiword-gnome/unstable uptodate 2.2.4-1
~$
As you can see, I've got abiword-gnome installed (last line there).
If you didn't specifically install the gnome package, the plain old gtk
one is installed. If that's the case, you can just 'apt-get install
abiword-gnome' to get the gnome version. It will uninstall the old
abiword package at the same time (I think the two versions still
conflict...)
