FWIW: Spelling isn't, I believe, strictly an OS X "service", but the
built-in checker is already supported through Enchant. Services are
magic little capabilities published by other apps, usually to a special
menu. It's a NeXTStep thing that was really slick then, and is pretty
slick now, AFAIK. Google for the video of Steve Jobs demo-ing NeXTStep
3.0 and you'll see what I mean. :D
