Dont have abiword on this machine but as I recall there is not a shortcut
for applying styles, however this is a 'Format painter' tool on the
toolbar that might be of use and the development version of abiword is
getting a style navigator widget a bit like what OpenOffice has.
Unfortunately it would require a recompile to add a keybinding yourself.

Again I dont have abiword in from of me but as far as I remeber that would
be the "Script Happy" plugin that basically allows you to run/execute an
external script from within abiword. I'm pretty sure there is
documetation for it around somewhere.
I write this only to provide a prompt reply, not a accurate one as it
might help you to help yourself find better answers by searching the
abiword website and documentation. Be patient and better answers will
likely follow.
