I am trying AbiWord for Spanish and for mixed Spanish and English. It is
very good at recognizing what language you are in -- as good as Word and far
better than WordPerfect. However, I've got one problem.
The Spanish spell check takes words containing an accented letter and tells
you to replace the accented letter with an apostrophe followed by the same
letter unaccented. In other words (if you can display the following) it
replaces más with m'as or señor with se'nor.
I'm using AbiWord 1.99-6 under Win 98SE and have both English and Spanish
keyboards installed. The Spanish dictionary came as abispell-MXi386.zip,
which I unzipped to the AbiSuite/Dictionary folder.
Gracias por ayudarme.
