I know I might be a bit late on this, but after flipping through again, I think I know what Bernard may have wanted. I think.
Perhaps he means something similar to the "multi-rooted" side bar in Nautilus, so, he could pull down directly to "correspondecies" or what hath he, and it would automatically go there. Sort of like that small arrow next to a browsers back button that allows you to pull down to specific past event, or simply holding it down for a couple of seconds.
This would then be best placed as an RFE.
Just a thought.
