Abiword jumping all over screen

    I am using the latest version of Abiword2 in FreeBSD 4.8. When I open
    Abiword, it jumps all over the screen. Nothing can be done but to exit.
    The errors I get are:

    (abiword:2038): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid uninstantiatable type
    `(null)'
    in cast to `GtkButton'

    in cast to `GtkWidget'

    Any ideas what to do to resolve this?
