    I forget what it is called - but there is a utility on sourceforge to
    convert Apple's dfont to TrueType

    I used it awhile back so I could have Monaco (the BEST monospace font in
    existance imho) in Linux.

    Maybe if you used that you could put the converted font into the X11
    font path and get it that way.
