    Did Vector Linux supply you with AbiWord-2.0.2? If so, there might be a
    binary
    incompatibility between the VL compiled AbiWord and the RH-9 precompiled
    binaries.

    If so, the plugins ill fail to load as you've observed.

    To be safe, the plugins and the main program should compiled witht he same
    compiler. I don't know what version of gcc/glibc VL uses.

    As solurtuiuin would to download the sources for AbiWord and the plugins
    and compile everything yourself.
