Looks like the binary is, in fact, linked against a system psiconv. I
just got done telling FJF that this wasn't the case the other day, too.
You can find this in the ports tree under converters/psiconv
Let me know if you have other problems with this.

Concerning the build:
I'm not sure why this is needed, though, since it seems to have
included the peer psiconv when I built it as well, and it fails if I
don't build the peer.
ldd gives quite the list here, and I suspect that there are a number of
duplicate items linked in where the static library is already included.
If I weren't bogged down trying to get 1.1 to compile with the
automake system, I might look into this a bit more, but I'm not sure
it's worth it...
