spell check shows garbled text - see attached pics

    Just checked my spell checker, installed from the source code.

    I'm running RH 7.3, with aspell. The source was taken from abisource.com.

    As you can see the from the first screenshot, you'll see the text is
    failry simple.

    Once I start the spell checker, you'll see something totally
    different. It look I still have something misconfigured.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
