font problem with chinese locale

    Hi,
    I've just downloaded, builded and installed abiword (looks great!) but
    I've a problem using zh_CN.gb2312 locale (chinese simplified). I use
    xcin as input method but when I start inserting chinese characters
    the correct font seems to miss, and I got strange character on screen.
    xcin works well with other applications.
    To set up chinese input I just wrote:
    setenv LC_CTYPE zh_CN.GB2312

    If I set LANG environment variable on my linux box to zh_CN.gb2312
    I got abiword's menu in chinese but I'm still unable to insert
    chinese characters using xcin, with the same problem as before.

    Could someone please help me?
