AbiWord-1.1.0 starts only in english

    I tried abiword 1.1.0 on hpux 11.00, but there is a problem with the locales ?

    the standard LANG Variable on hpux 11.00 is set to de_DE.iso88591, because I am a german.

    abiword 1.1.0 segfault on hpux 11.00, if LANG=de_DE.iso88591, only the splash sreen starts and the
    following messages appears:
    GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid cast from `GtkMenuBar' to `GtkMenu'

    abiword starts only on hpux 11.00 if the LANG Variable is set not equal de_DE.iso88591

    for e.q. setenv LANG de_DE.roman8 AW2 starts in german, but a lot of menue point are missing
    or setenv LANG C

    I've read that the script hpux.abiword.configure
    edits /usr/lib/nls/iconv/config.iconv to add an alias for
    # ISO-8859-1 (iso81) and UCS-2 (ucs2)
