It's Suse8.0 that's the problematic distribution, Mandrake 8.2 works for
Keith.
'xset +fp /usr/local/AbiSuite/fonts' succeeds when run from a user account
on my Suse8.0 test machine. This suggests to me that users do have sufficient
permissions to change the font path, although I don't know if Abiword and
xset both use the same means to accomplish this.
Running under gdb (actually DDD) produces -
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x081168a9 in EV_Toolbar_label::getToolTip ()
I don't know how meaningful this is, but I thought it might provide a
clue.
