Sparc Solaris 8 compile of Abiword 1.0.1

Hello,

I downloaded the script and ran autogen.sh.

I ran configure with a prefix and ran gmake.

Everything compiled w/o errors. I ran gmake install.

When I start abiword, I get the splash screen and then the app.

The problem is that when I go to type the cursor just sits there and I see no text being typed.

When I hit returns I do get a line feed but I can seem to type any text no matter what font I choose.

Anybody know what the heck is going on?
