AbiWord is wonderful and may some day save my day!
but:
I'm one of those stubborn end-users who has thrown Windows out of my PC and
replaced it with Linux. Beeing an non-computer scientist though, I am totally
dependent on a word processor. That leaves me with the all to heavy
StarOffice. The small and fast AbiWord is so much nicer.
Except that it lacks the ability to make footnotes/endnotes. If I had known
programming, I would have loved to help implementing that feature. Now I can
just hope that some of you great open-souce programmers will at some point
help me!!
(The world needs Linux, Linux needs a small, fast and efficent Open
Source/GNU word processor, and that processor needs a footnote/endnote
function. This function matters a lot!)
