Please folks:
rpm --nodeps
rpm --force
either will install abiword and things will be just fine.
if you get something silly later on when trying to run abiword, ln -s
libgal.so.WHATEVER libgal.so.7
gal is a wierd, frequently updated gnome package that is considered
"unstable." it comes out with a lot of versions. rpm is also an insanely
stupid pacakge manager.
please follow my rpm suggestions or use something like ximian red-carpet
to automagically resolve your dependencies for you.
