    Hi,
I have checked the archives but I haven't found an answer to the following
question. I apologize if I have missed something.

I have installed Abiword on an old win98 machine (!), I have downloaded the
abispell_0_9_0_tar file from sourceforge and unpacked all the files
successfully. I have moved the french dictionnary (the hash file) to the
'dictionary' folder (leaving the american dictionary there as well).
    So far, so good.

Now, when I try to open a document, Abiword complains saying that it cannot
not load the french dictionary and crashes. Removing the american
dictionary from that folder does not help.

Is there some treatment to be applied to the hash files coming from the
    abispell_0_9_0_tar file? Are they corrupted?

I'm sure I missed a very simple and stupid thing but I can't find what...
    Any hint is welcome.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marc
