    Hi everyone:

I just found out about abiword and I think it is a great idea. I
usually use emacs and TeX, but have found that I need to work on doc
files more and more. What a pain. However abiword looks like a great
    way to do this.

    However, I have two problems:

    1) It crashes a lot. Once every 5 minutes. I know that this does not
tell you a lot, but it makes the code alost unusable. I am running
Red Hat 7.1, if that helps. The problems seem to be reproducible.
For example, if I start a number list and change the style to
`upper case list', the program crashes. The error message is:

       /usr/bin/abiword: line 67: 1426 Aborted
       $ABISUITE_LIBEXEC/AbiWord_d "$@"

    2) It will not start at all in my high resolution mode. I use my
laptop in two resolution modes: 1400x1050 and 1024x768. Abiword
works fine in the low resolution mode, but in high resolution I
get a window that opens and says:

Abiword could not lead that following font or fontset from the X
       Window System display server:
       [-*-Times New Roman-regular-r-*-*-*-0-*-*-*-*-*-*]

Thanks for any help you can give me!
