I note that abiword .99.5 is almost out of the chute and 1.0 is likely
to be close behind. My question (again) is whether the installation
program for abiword will look for a specific version of libgal (rather
than libgal.so.? (in this case =>7))
It is not enough to blame ximian for this and perhaps other problems
with installation. Many people use ximian gnome and will continue to
use it. Up to now, ximian has issued repaired versions of abiword on its
red carpet service. I hope it will continue to do so.
