As the person who made these files, I haven't a clue why you are getting
this error except(as someone before mentioned) my computer may have a
library on it that was used during the abiword build process that is
incompatible with your system. For now, unless someone else makes a
"better" package, the only way awound this is to build from source,
which is actaully very easy. Grap the source tarball from
projects.sourceforge.net/abiword, extract it into some directory and
type "make install" in the abi directory. If you like you can type "make
distribution ABI_DIST_TARGET=tgz" and that will give a static tar.gz
build that hopefully works for yourself and others who are having the
same problem.
