I think it should be possible to move text from one location to another, by selecting the text, put the mouse pointer on it, hold down the button, and move the pointer to another place.
Of course, this should be an option under settings, since it could also give troubles to those not liking it.
Also, may I notify of some bugs that should be quite easy to fix.
*It's not possible to make a selection using shift+pageup or pagedown
*The "remeber window size" doesn't work when opening a saved document from WITHIN Abiword
*The print option "print selection" doesn't function
