It's very important that you cast your votes for bugs, and continue to file
RFEs. They do give developers a sense of what users feel is important, and
what the product currently lacks.
Tables, however, are something that we've personally heard enough about. You
can continue casting votes for table-related bugs in bugzilla, but just know
that we have a timeframe for doing tables, and that is post 1.0. We recieve
*many* nasty and whiney emails about how we don't support tables, and it just
grows tiresome to hear the same story time and time again.
Our plans for future table support don't seem to correspond to many user's
requests, and this is unfortunate, but unlikely to change without monetary
contributions or other such incentives. We have the majority of our goal list
set right now for our 1.0 release, and while your input/vote is invaluable,
our opinion on tables is not going to change until 1.0 is out the door.
Your votes overall are important and will help sway developer energies.
However, since this is a 100% volunteer project, people tend to do what they
want to or find interesting, and not what other people (developer or user)
want them to do. Since we are volunteers, our time is limited. This is not a
democracy. Think of it more like a newspaper opinion poll.
Sorry,
Dom
