Huh? i dont know much about DocBook, but i did think the .dbk extension
was important, the underlying mark up is XML (as opposed to SGML).

It doesn't validate? That would be bug. If you could sumbit a patch or
a detailed description of what the problem is that would be very
helpful.

Not as far as i know (i read most of the mail sent to the developer
list).
