Subject: Fw: 9.5 changing icon for MSWord documents

I just installed 9.5 (I'm using Windows 98se). Every MSWord document on my
drive is now listed with the AbiWord document icon. If that's intended, I
think it's a bad move--why should installing a new program change the icon
for documents already created? I doubt that this change is likely to make
new users confident and enthusiastic about AbiWord.
I went to Folder Options and looked at File Types and found .doc now
associated with AbiWord files. I couldn't figure out how to change that. I
tried uninstalling AbiWord, and MSWord documents were still listed with the
AbiWord icon. I ended up using GoBack.
Has anyone else found the MSWord document icon changed after installing
AbiWord? Is there any way to undo that change without just uninstalling
AbiWord (and reverting one's hard drive)?
I'm happy to see AbiWord opening files without the problems in 9.4 and
saving files in .doc format, but this icon change seems to me to be a real
problem.
