First, I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to the developers of
AbiWord for such a high quality product. I recently began using AbiWord
0.7.9 and it meets my word processing requirements with the exception
of a feature within Microsoft Word which allows for tracking of file
edits between multiple users. In an environment where numerous people
are contributing to the same document, it's nice to be able to see who
added or deleted particular text. Word provides a mode where all edits to
document get visually highlited and associated with a username performing
the edits. Additionally, non-visible comments can be added which are
also associated with particular usernames. If this functionality could be
added into AbiWord, we could easily replace our use of Word with AbiWord.

P.S. I'm aware that documents produced by AbiWord could be checked into
a source code repository such as RCS or CVS and be managed this way,
but ideally this kind of functionality could be better integrated.
