You'll need to compile a version of AbiWord for IRIX on MIPS, or find
a binary package for that architecture. Perhaps the wording on the
web page is misleading--AbiWord will need to be compiled for each
operating system on each different platform. Therefore, the Linux for
Intel binaries will not work with Irix for MIPS.
If you have a compiler and development libraries installed on IRIX
(GCC and the GTK libraries), you might try doing your own compilation
as described in the developer pages.
