commit -- Linux .tar.gz installer magic

I've commited the Unix .tar.gz rules for the Makefile to build
nice tarballs with an install script ala the Font installer.
I suspect there might be a bug or two in it... I can't say
I guarantee it won't accidentally write over vital system files
if you feed it a weird string, but I can say I've used it for
testing across my computers and it hasn't broken anything yet.

The install is pretty easy to go through, but it's set up now
to separate each Unix platform into its own install area, even
though the install scripts are almost identical between the
two. I'll find a way to migrate the code into something I
don't have to continually maintain for each Unix platorm
somehow. Right now, not having Internet access at the
building is annoying enough not to think about it for a few
hours. I hope this mail gets out sometime soon.

I'll be adding targets tomorrow for Debian packages, Red Hat
RPMs, Stampede Linux packages, Sun Solaris "pkg" packages,
and maybe more (and probably in about that order).
