Thanks for offering. Having great import/export compatibility for other
word processor formats is very important to this project -- kind of like
hardware drivers for the Linux kernel. :-)

Peter Arnold <petera@intrinsica.co.uk> started the effort to create an RTF
importer, but so far as we know, nobody's started work on the exporter yet.

As you probably know, Maxwell and Ted would be two great sources of GPL code
for handling RTF. My recollection is that one of the Maxwell maintainers
reads this list, so you might be able to get some help there if you get lost
in that code.

If you have any questions about how to interpret our import / export APIs,
let us know. The existing examples should be pretty clear -- Jeff's just
that good -- but we're always happy to provide more information and
documentation to people writing code.
