Technically I'm in charge of it. I have not done much work on it in the
last few months. You are welcome to submit suggestions about whatever
you like. Consider this: The more specific any given suggestion (or
patch) is, the quicker my response will be. This is true of developers
in general as well. Also, if it takes me a few days time for turnaround
on a suggestion, it's because I want to take the time to give it proper
thought, so don't be discouraged, I'm just busy (like everyone else).
There have been no active doc maintainers since I took up where David
left off. David is less around than I am, and has probably forgotten
how to speak english by now (-: (hiya David!) This means that
suggestions will take a little time to be acted on, but it also means
that your contributions are especially welcome. This is a great way to
help out AbiWord and its users.
So - Yes, it can be organized differently, if specific suggestions are
made and the rationale is solid and agreed upon.
"who to talk to" is me, until someone else takes over.
For the stuff you wrote that is not already there, great! Submit it via
bugzilla (documentation - content component of abiword product).
For the stuff that's there, make sure to contribute to the indexing
system, because even if it is a secondary method to navigation, it
should be much easier to make infallable wrt making sure that the user
can find the information _somehow_.
Best regards
