Actually, I've already done this. I wanted AbiWord to read HTML files on
my Mac so I added a pre-filter to help AbiWord understand arbitrary XHTML
and then hacked expat to handle HTML - it's this last bit I'm a little
concerned about.
I'm currently re-writing AbiWord's XML importer. I plan to have a look at
libxml2's HTML support when I'm done.
