You can support Mac OS Classic and Carbon from one sourcebase if your "Mac"
platform was ZooLib:

ZooLib wants to be multithreaded though. AbiWord is single threaded isn't it?
I'm not real clear if this would really be an issue. ZooLib also wants to take
over the event queue.

I think the carbon support that is provided in the current public ZooLib sources
is a little funky, but I believe better carbon support is already available and
should be OK to use from a set of development sources.
