HI everyone,
We've done a lot of great work these past 3 months but in th
eprocess we've also made some fundamental changes to the code base.
Lets finish this release off with some centrated effort and bugfixing. To
help out I'll be making regular rpm's of the current tree. These are
available at:
http://seviorpc.ph.unimelb.edu.au/abiword/
I've posted the first of these called:
abiword-gtk-0.90.pre2.rpm
abiword-gnome-0.90.pre2.rpm
There. These are built for Red Hat 7.1 and the latest Ximinian gnome.
I'm looking for otheres to build your own rpm for other distros. Make
sourceball of everything, call it
abiword-0.90.pre2.tar.gz
and put it in
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
Put abiword-gtk-0.90.pre2.spec and/or abiword-gnome-0.90.pre2.spec in
/usr/src/redhat/SPECS
Then as root
cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
do:
rpm -ba abiword-gtk-0.90.pre2.spec
and a gtk rpm will eventually appear in /usr/src/redhat/RPMS
Use the gnome spec for the gnome build of course.
Anyway, try out the rpm's and try to crash them. Look for weird
stuff. Report it to bugzilla and we'll fix it.
