Which version of CygWin are you using? I don't think building Abi with
mingw is supported.
Regardless, it looks like your problems are related to the compiler, not
to AbiWord. Have you been able to successfully compile anything else with
your CygWin installation?

I tried both mingw and cygwin, both have the same problems:
