I took at look at Project Of the Week 5, Bug-Buddy support.
It's easy enough to do, you just drop the appropriate files
into /usr/share/bug-buddy.

Unfortunately it's not very functional. The version number does
not get filled in, the user gets no chance to search for existing
bug reports first, and it requires email hacks to bugzilla. And,
of course, only works for Gnome.

Maybe a "report bug" menu item within AbiWord instead?

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<project name="Abiword">
        <bts name="debian">
                <package name="C library"
                <package name="C compiler"
                         pre="gcc --version || cc -V"/>
                <package name="glib"
                         pre="glib-config --version"
                <package name="GTK+"
                         pre="gtk-config --version"
                <package name="ORBit"
                         pre="orbit-config --version"
                <package name="gnome-libs"
                         pre="gnome-config --version"
                <package name="gnome-print"
                         pre="gnome-config --modversion print | grep -v gnome-libs"
                <package name="gnome-core"
                         pre="gnome-config --modversion applets | grep -v gnome-libs | sed -e 's^applets-^gnome-core ^g'"
