Umm this isn't for MSIE compatibility. It renders
all line endings correctly as far as I know.
This is for MS Notepad compatibility - a far less
worthy cause if you ask me.
I agree we should emit the correct line ending on a
platform basis just like we already do in the plain
text exporter. But only if people really care (:
